dill take over

i’m so new to hydroponics, i know i probably trimmed the dill wrong but there was so much of it and i feel like it’s taken over the entire garden lol but my question here is can i trim those stalks more? the chives i had trying to grow next to the dill never did, and i’m worried that my peppers won’t either! also, the roots are all tangled within each other. is that ok or did i royally f*ck this up? hahaha
