Naturalistic shohin elm

A shohin Chinese elm with large hollow/exposed deadwood. Pretty unusual in a deciduous tree, but it's all natural – no carving has been done.

Canopy is looking pretty unkept atm, will do some major clean up this fall to see if we can get things a little more organized – but with the natural feel of the trunk I won't make this one super manicured.
