What is this? It came in my replacement package from air plant shop for the 2 that rotted 2 days after I received them. They sent 5 replacement for the 2… I thought that was very generous of them. But idk what this is. And why did they paint the tips? Is that normal practice at air plant nurseries? I was kind of surprised to get such a big plant since I had purchased small to medium mystery box…I think they were $19.99 per small to medium plant box. I guess it's probably considered medium… but anyway… I'm happy with it…. but don't know what it is and why in the world they painted the tips.
