    Fuchsia Magellanica.  Its a really lovely arching shrub and white flowered and types with variegated and golden leaves are available 

  2. These actually propagate very well from cuttings. Though I would advise asking the owner before taking one, a single short stem with 6-8 leaves is all you need.

    Place the cutting in water and wait for roots to form, will be fairly quick. When you have at least 3 roots over 3 inches(usually less than a month for this), place it in a self watering pot with 50/50 potting soil to perlite. It’ll take off. When it’s big enough to take another cutting, do so, and repeat the process until you have a fuller plant.

    Fuchsias love moisture, and I would keep it in partial to full shade.
