The good: I’m seeing some new growth on the branches;; according to my soil moisture meter and with my self-watering birb, the moisture level is okay;; it has acclimated to its spot in the corner of the kitchen next to a N-facing window with lots of indirect light
I took over caring for this beauty in the process of moving, so I know some of the sun damage is now one with the plant.
- the leaves away from the ceiling are doing OK and she’s got legs for days
How do I go about caring for her?? TIA

My suggestion, cut off 1/2 or 1/3 of trunk….let it regrow..some buds will grow on the trunk soon
..and Flf is tropical plant, they love sunlight..your case caused by bacteria,germ..and sunlight (UV)can sterilise the soil
Hello. You have a couple things going on like double potting. Take it out of the decorative pot for now. It’s not getting enough light. Right up in front of an East or South facing window is best. You could try it in that spot then put plant light bulbs in your ceiling fan. Prune it back 1/3 of the height of the overall tree. Repot in a chunky aroid soil. Hilton Carter has a nice video on them. Do a lot of research to decide if it’s worth the time and effort to rehab it. Ficus Elastica is a much hardier tree you might like better! They are far less sensitive to light than the Fiddle Leaf Fig. If you need help feel free to reach out
Just lob off the top to get it to a reasonable size/shape for your space. It will reward you with fresh growth.
