The monstera leaf from last week’s time lapse kept getting bigger – this is the biggest leaf yet!

2️⃣ My book for scale: 7 x 9 inches (18×22 cm).

3️⃣ FAQ: how are your leaves already this big? I started this plant by taking a cutting from my original plant, which was about 4 years old in this photo from my book. It looks very full because there are 8 individual vines – I took 2 cuttings. In general, each subsequent leaf has a chance at being bigger than the previous if the overall growing conditions are good. So what you see now is the result of 6 years of growth (4 years in the original pot plus 2 since taking the cuttings).

Link in profile: how I deal with thrips – I’m still fighting a few here and there on this plant.
