In this short, I show how to never buy sweet potato slips again. This will save you money on sweet potato slips. One sweet potato will give you an endless supply of potato slips. This method calls for sweet potato slips to grow in soil instead of starting in the water. This is one of the easiest ways to get free sweet potato slips.

  1. Thank you for the detailed video. I usually grow to admire the plant but now I'll try plant for sweet potatos🌞

  2. I put my sweet potatoes in my pantry for the winter and in the spring I set them in the sun, by March the slips start on their own in the dark but they really start to grow in the sun. I transplant the slips to pots and wait three weeks or a little longer because of the cold, by May they're ready to go into the ground. I've even put vines that were broken off later directly into the ground and watered them heavily for a week and got good results. Been growing them like this for four years, I'm trying your method next spring.

  3. I never cut the slips off. Just pluck them from the side of the potato and they already have roots! Why cut them and reroot? That takes weeks longer!

  4. You know something… We were bamboozled into believing we needed seeds to grow everything. I live this🤍 ty

  5. I gues, is too late for me to try that, Summer is just about Over, but most definitely Next Spring, I will try it.

  6. I have numerous buckets of sweet potatoes in my backyard.. I’m so excited for the fall and that’s exactly how I started mine. This video is so right🥰🥰 thanks for posting.
