First time poster! I tried propagating my four foot, super skinny dieffenbachia by cutting 2-3 node pieces and placing them in water or damp soil. Only this top piece survived.. However, I’m realizing it’s bigger than I’d like to pot. Is it too late to cut this into smaller pieces? I’m nervous since the others didn’t make it.

I did the same when I propagated my Dieffenbachia. I cut 4 long stems and then cut them again to make 8 new plants.
If I were I’d do it. In my experience that plant it’s very easy to propagate, just cut and put in water.
