Japanese Maples: What’s the right location for YOUR trees?

Japanese Maples: What’s the right location for YOUR trees?

Japanese maples do better in the right location. This helps prevent, wind burn, sun scorch and coloration issues. Red maples stay red, green acres stay green! Here I show how to treat each boarder in my garden as different to produce the best results. Colour can be maintained or enhanced, by varying the amount of sun these trees get.

Ideal for beginners or more experienced Japanese Maple growers, in these videos I will show what practical steps I take to keep my Acer trees healthy during a year of gardening!

I hope you will follow me in my adventures with these wonderful trees

This video will help you grow better trees and for those with more experience, who want to improve the autumn colour, health and general quality of their Maples. Colour can also be improved all year by giving trees the right amount of sun.

  1. Great video, very helpfull indeed. I definitely found out that I have to shuffle some pots around next year, I didnt think orange dream would be so sensitive to sun but it def needs more shade.
I also got an orange lace ( thats whats on the label but it's nowhere to be found on the internet ) which is prob the same needs as orange dream. So got to get some stuff build for next year lol

  2. @12.35 can you please let me know what this acer is? It looks a little pink and green, thank you!! 🙏🙌 Your garden is so beautiful 😍💚👌Xx

  3. Thanks for the video and sharing planting positions for maples 👍🏾. I noted the small green shrub to the left and in front of the Bi Hoo, looks a bit sad. If it’s a Hinoki Cypress I leave mine in full sun and it loves it (cut away the dead foliage first). Keep sharing

  4. Hi. I'm looking for a reddish dwarf and compact Japanese maple for a full sun position in Maine, USA. I have Tamukeyama, Shaina, Orangeola, Moon Rise and Inabe Shidare available locally. Any thoughts?
