Lost Part of our Apple Tree

Long story short, I didn't get enough weight off the trunks on the left and one came down this morning to see one has collapsed. We are very sad. I'm wondering what you all think about next steps here.

I have already cut off the trunk that broke down as you can see, and I'll clean up all the rest of the downed wood or course. None of the apples are ripe yet. The trunk that failed was supporting the limb with damage. I guess I don't realize how much weight it took on.

With how this trunk failed, what do you recommend for care? And as you can see I have temporarily propped up the damaged limb with a piece of downed wood… Is it saveable?

I'm planning to call in an arborist we like when they open, but hoping for ideas here too.
