San Pedro Cactus

Need advice with this one

We had a bad hail storm back in March and everything to the right of the red hasn’t grown at all this summer. It is also a yellow color compared to the new growth on the left. How would y’all proceed here? Will the right side eventually produce pups? Honest opinions are welcome!

It probably is yellow from sun exposure not hail. It looks very nice. If this were mine I’d cut off that left arm at the base of the other arm. Then I’d replant the right side in a more vertical position.

  2. Why bother cutting it at all, unless you’re planning to sell? Crests naturally terminate at some spots. It has nothing to do with the hail.

I don’t see what the problem is here. 🤷🏻‍♂️
I would just let it do its thing. 😊🫶🌵

Crested love to get funky, let it funk

It would be ugly for a while but I see 5 places to cut and root each crest. Let the big stump shoot new growth and cover the cuts. Whamo 6 crested cactuses
