Berries

What are those?

They look like nightshades but I recently learned there’s different kinds of them. These are in Washington state near a little pond

Nightshade is a common name that refers to a whole family of plants, Solanaceae. Most plants/fruits with the common name “nightshade” come from the genus Solanum. This specimen appears to be **Solanum dulcamara, aka bittersweet nightshade.**

3 Berries is a lethal dose of nightshade. Or it can be.

Solanum dulcamara (woody nightshade / bittersweet). These are pretty poisonous and potentially lethal in sufficient quantities.
