Black gold! Tons of organic material in the drained pond

Once a year my father-in-law's pond gets drained by the farmers downstream (ancient Portuguese rules). I decided to clean up the pond bed. Thick, luscious soil produced by years and years of build-up. I know little about (making) compost, but I feel like an ancient Egyptian on the bank of the Nile.
