Calatheas

Calathea drying out?

Not gonna lie I did neglect her for 2 weeks and noticed she started getting a little dry so I watered her but it seem like it got worse? The leaves are not crunchy and are moist and the soil is also still damp. I don't think it's root rot because I did repot her last month with good draining soil so l'm not sure what to do to help. Any advice is appreciated!

Definitely under-watered! Ornatas are HUGE drama queens and don’t do well when neglected. I have mine recovering from spider mites in a make shift humidity dome made out of two large clear plastic pots and plastic wrap. She seems to like it and her leaves are uncurling. I would not water again until the top inch of soil is dried out to prevent root rot. Calatheas are drama queens for sure but are pretty resilient! She should bounce back with the right care
