Tomatoes

They just keep coming! 4&1/2 lbs. of ripe grape tomatoes alone.


I thought I wanted to give up a week ago when I figured out I have Septoria ravaging my plants. I’ve pruned so much it’s crazy, sprayed with Daconil, and my plants are still producing like crazy!

    Time for canning and salsa making!

    We can whole tomatoes, various salsa varieties, green tomato pickles, and base tomato sauce that we can use for various things like marinara, spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, or whatever. We experiment in other ways as well, though those are the yearly staples that we always do. Some freezer stuff too, depending on space.

    We love fresh harvest produce, yet food storage is as much fun. The gift that keeps on giving.
