  2. Farmers markets! Picked up local garlic last fall for a fraction of the price I would have paid from a garlic dealer. Unlike a grocery store, you can ask the variety of pepper, tomato, whatever, if it is an heirloom, free seeds for next year. I did that with a orange bullhorn pepper last summer, doing great this year.
If I knew in the beginning what I know about gardening, I would have skipped the raised beds. A one time tilling and the purchase of some quality compost would have been a lot easier and cheaper than the route I took.
A lot of good tips! Stay Well!!!!

  3. I live in central Florida and this has been grueling heat so I am taking a break till fall. I am glad for all the great tips

  4. Great video. Speaking of deals, I bought 25 bags of organic raised beds dirt at home Depot in January for $1.10 a bag vs $10. They all thought I was nuts in the store brushing off snow and loading! Saved me a ton of money on my new bed

  5. I like both channels represented here. I watch often. Four yrs now trying veggie gardening. I apply what I learn, but plants don't produce well. I container garden because our soil is horrible. I won't give up but it's discouraging. Love your tips & instruction!

  6. my problem is the pests!! The aphids and spider mites have attached so many of my plants!! I have bought some organic spray solutions but staying on top of it costs quite a bit😔

  7. You really don't need ANY materials at all, except maybe some kind of trellising material for the tall plants, but you can cut branches from trees for that and make a t-pee.

  8. Thank you, all 3, and anyone I missed. Also, Willow (4th) is adorable!❤I feel like I'm learning some things by watching these, like how to tell cantaloupes are ready, in these videos. I'm going to plant some more this year. Shade cloths kept many plants alive in Sacramento, that's for sure. I have to really look for my cucumbers, too. lol They like to hide. 🤗

  9. Awesome video my Favorite tip was when Gary was talking about how you could grow blueberries knowing where the sun was Located In your garden
