My first calathea and the stems on the new growth seem very long. Is it normal?

I got this on impulse and the plant seems happy but the two new leaves since I got it have much taller stems? It gets very bright indirect light plus it has a grow light for 12 hrs. It has high quality well draining soil. I water it about once a week. Thanks
