Trichocereus wood from the base of a stand that once stood in Papamoa Beach, Tauranga, New Zealand🇳🇿
Approximately 30-40 years old, I can imagine some nasty storms have hooked into this location over the years being located the coast, which would have naturally strengthened the base over time.⏳🌀
Flaunting THREE vascular rings🤯 plenty of intricate granular & groove detail, this is a rather spectacular sight for any cactaceae hobbiest to observe.
It was a shame to have fell this collossal specimen, but unfortunately that is the reality of modern property development.🏜️
