These bricks have been around this oak tree for at least two decades. Is it safe for me to remove the bricks and remove the soil around the tree? I’m worried that the trunk has been covered for so long, it might be worse to expose it?
This is a water oak, so not a long lived tree.

It’s got plenty of root flare already and clearly it didn’t care at all about those bricks, it’s pushed them aside like paperweights. I don’t think it’ll care one way or another
