I called it smart way
It's how my grandma did it. To harvest seeds or grains wait until the grains are ripe,hit with tennis racket and put in container.
I did that with a tarp years ago.
If smart means lazy then I guess you’re right but dude haven’t you ever raked leaves with a tarp ?
Not lazy. Just efficient. Now he can do more chores
