  1. Apologies for the poor picture quality…lighting in my apartment is atrocious.

I built this cemeterrium back in September/October 2023 as part of a trio of spooky/Halloween-themed terrariums. They were my second, third, and fourth terrariums overall. This one struggled at first, and all but one strand of the selaginella uncinata died off, and all of the pilea dark mystery died off. Then there was a sudden resurgence of life a few months later, and this guy has been thriving ever since…so much so that you can barely tell it’s a cemterrium and the selginella uncinata is very close to creeping out of the top!

Also in this build is various moss, both purchased and collected from outside my apartment. There was also climacium dendroides in there, but it’s so overgrown that I can’t tell if that has since died.

I opened it once about a week after creating it to add springtails, but it’s been sealed ever since.

It sits directly beside my succulent plant shelf, which has Barrina T5 grow lights attached.

[This is my original post with all three spooky builds](https://new.reddit.com/r/terrariums/comments/16y1wv5/spooky_builds_for_spooky_season/). Unfortunately, the coffin one has completely died, I suspect because it wasn’t a tight seal and I neglected to maintain high enough moisture. Hoping to redo it soon as an open terrarium. The witch-themed one has been going good, though, and sprouts orange mushrooms occasionally.
