I just moved to a new house and there's a 2yo King's Park Special Callistemon (bottle brush tree) that concerns me.
I don't know anything about trees, but this seems a little worrisome… Would this two leaders(??)/branches close crack the short trunk as the tree gets older? The tree has a slightly weepy and the branches really bend and whip around in the wind, so I'm worried about the structure of the tree.
Is it too old to prune? Do I just leave it be and keep an eye on it as it grows?
