Squash, Cucumbers and Zucchini… And Melons and Pumpkins are warm weather crops. They love water, nitrogen and organic matter. You really have to give them what they want to grow well. If you are starting them indoors they need to be started in larger containers, fed and transplanted at week 4 or 5 into the ground.
