Looks like a Spanish onion to me but could also be Italian garlic but not yet ready to pick. The cloves form later.
If the green part are hollow tubes, its an onion. If they are not tubes, it might be a garlic or something else
Welcome to the “things grew in my compost pile” crew haha I had a tomato plant about 3 1/2 feet long we must be doing something right!
