This is my first post in this particular sub.
I have a tree at my property in Fredericksburg that I would like some professional input on.
This is a relatively large Post oak, and if there’s anything I can do to help this tree, I am open to any advice you can offer.
When I bought the property four years ago, this tree looked pretty much the same, and the tree trimming crew that was here said just stand back and watch and see how it does over the years.
Since then, we’ve had the horrible freeze in February 2021; and then some pretty debilitating drought since then.
The tree appears to be relatively healthy from looking at its leaves and health of the Canopy.
But obviously, there is a huge problem in the trunk.
Is there any help here? Is there anything I can do to help this tree?
