My little gardening story

I found out I had a passion for plants when I was in school after getting my first little bonsai tree. After a while I had a few house plants but was never interested in outdoor plants. Oneday I brought a mini rose from Tesco and planted it outside and then I ended up buying more and more outdoor plants. Now here I am a few years later at 18 with a ton of plants. Here's a small portion of the garden 🙂

    Beautiful 💕

I’d always helped my Nan in the garden as a child but started to take an interest in houseplants in my early teen years too! I was hooked from my first succulent, it kickstarted an addiction to collecting and learning. First it’s a succulent, then a cactus, maybe a bonsai, an orchid, then carnivorous plants…. The list goes on! Before long, you’ve got a room and a garden full of them 😅

So much can be learned from plants/gardening, that actually have nothing to do with the topic. I find myself coming to conclusions of things outside plants while I tend to them all the time. Such a rewarding and mindful hobby to have! 🥰

I was given a packet of CandyTuft at primary school and sprinkled it into a a small patch of dirt in the front garden..a few months later I was so thrilled to see it had grown and thought they were the best flowers I’d ever seen.. that was it for me, I had an instant passion for flowers.. I was also lucky that I had a real nature loving family who all grew plants and veggies and often reared and rehabilitated all kinds of bugs, birds and animals. Fast forward to many years later and I still have that same passion .. I really enjoy hearing other people’s garden stories and seeing what they have created and grown..hope more people share theirs.
