  1. Thanks for sharing! That is a awesome collection. Always cool to see some of the first 25 cars.

  2. Pretty sure he is referring to Bullet rc10/jrx2 kit. It used the RC10 front end and the JRX2 gearbox and drive shafts but had their own trailing arm rear suspension.. But I remember A/L and Rayborn were also doing similar things so I could be wrong. The original JRX2's had really fragile front ends and no option parts for caster blocks like the RC10 had.

  3. That was an enjoyable video! Brought back many good memories including the Falcon (my first Tamiya build!). And cool Calico cat @31:35

  4. The Tamiya Bruiser is my unicorn. It was on the cover of the first rc car action magazine and it was expensive at the time. I was a kid and the frog was my first rc car. I raced competitively with an RC 10 for many years.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

  5. The Merc race car at the 4 minute mark is only 114 AUD in Japan. Tamiya is super cheap and parts I got the Candy green Grasshopper for 65 AUD just a few weeks ago at Suoer Rajikon in Tokyo.

  6. Man thoughts rc are in such good condition wow that is a sweet collection love them all some of the stories and nostalgia of them when he said a bout one of the cars from the 80 i was like a bout 3 or 4 at the time that was super impressive love the Porsche cars and loved the black one no details but what a fantastic collection he has super sweet collection bro 🤘

  7. Im glade i seen this video remind me of when i was younger a bout 16 standing in beatties model shop loved that place any way i remember standing there looking at all the cars thinking i could never a ford one of these thing 😂😂 i loved wrc from the 90s and the MICHELIN Pilot Cosworth was my favourite now i stand here and think back to that day and its a bit like it but iv only got a bout 36 37 rc but i look at how fare iv come and think a bout the time i yoused to say id never be able to have thes now look 🤣🤣 im gonna be 44 this year mad i know ps MSM love the channel i think your name is awesome just as im a bit of a santa cruz fan funny as iv not long built a santa cruz blur xc carbon one so ya makes it more awesome keep up the awesome content all the best mj 🤘😊👍

  8. So cool, and his work is spectacular 💯 I would love to have seen it in person, but the video was great Thanks to both of you 👍👍

  9. awesome collection and cool guy for showing us around. too many great RCs to choose but i have to say i really like the still in box farm king @40:15 lol

  10. Very impressive, would like a video on how he strips a body.
If neededd i have 2 hotshots OEM for parts

  11. Wow what a collection! I’ve loved Tamiya since the early 80’s. I was hoping you would show his work shop, maybe next visit 😉

  12. Oh that xray touring car. I remember those back when they had rc races at a local hobby shop near me that I used to frequent. There’s actually a full kit on eBay for sale. Stock wheels and original unpainted body in box and all.

And I had that Tamiya ford lightning before too. It’s a TL01 chassis. Simple and works great for what it is. I actually won a race at my LHS touring races with a TL01 with trf shocks and lightened drive shaft. Entered it just to mess around and won against everyone using Yokomos and hpi’s. I was just lucky and knew how the car drove but was still surprised and I still laugh my butt off till this day about it. The best was when everyone was curious what chassis I was running and I took off my body (lancer evolution 4) and the look on their faces was the greatest 😂.

  13. For the area of the rx540 motors. One of the first upgrade motors was called MABUCHI RS-540SD BLACK MOTOR SPRINT. I still have just the box, sticker price was $33.00 and it was just a faster version of the silver can type. It's a black can with red end cap, fixed springs. Those technituned were race motors. Your going to go make me look at my old stuff
