I separated this baby from a big yucca plant a week ago. I let it dry for a couple days and put it by a north facing window. I thought it would be easier to stick it in water to grow more roots since a lot broke off but now the leaves are dying.

not 100% sure but I think earth roots have a hard time changing to water only. just stick it back in a potting mix
