  2. I can attest to basil's ease of indoor growing. I have a 2 year old basil plant from the grocery store. Basil is a perennial in its natural climate and will continue to grow as long as it doesn't freeze to death.

  3. The poetry is actually really good quick question in Sacramento California is still pretty hot Just wondering I'm trying to do it outdoors this year growing my seedlings but I have it under shade cloth I think I have it around 40% or more shade cloth initially when I started it they were I think under 80% shade cloth meaning two 40% shade cloth so would that hamper the growth or do I really need to start an indoors I usually start mine indoors but I really don't want to do it this year

  4. It was 100F in the shade, south of Sylacauga, AL in the boonies. It is still way too hot to plant. Next week, cooler weather is in the forecast starting Tuesday. Yeah! I'll start with planting Brunswick Cabbage, cauliflower, brocolli, turnips, Swiss Chard, Pak Choi, Yellow Heart Winter Choy, tatsoi, komatsuna, and maybe Nappa Cabbbage. I'll have to wait a week or two for cooler temperatures to sow seeds for carrots, beets, and radish. It won't be cool enough to sow parsnip seeds until October, which is also garlic time. I need to top off three raised beds with compost before planting, and I have two raised beds that I need to harvest out green onions and weed out. I'll do that when the temperature cools a bit.

  5. Omg Dale poor baby. My cockapoo girl gets so depressed when I go in to work once a month. She gets so mad at me. I’m like it’s not my fault. lol ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I have been working since the pandemic.

  6. Great info! You are super-good at what you do. Not sure, but it seems you have a real need to share what you know and/ or are learning. A real teacher- vibe. Thx for sharing the wisdom! Have a great fall!

  7. May I suggest? The most video no needs to watch, just listen. I wish to see all unknown veggies how they grow in your garden, even enjoy to see your face🙂. And if your streams will be like friendly conversations, not lectures your site will be more popular. Thank you.

  8. I have tried peas (several varieties), a couple times, and learned why every grower says, direct sow. Lol I'll add, the comments about dale are awesome! Good content, good people. 😊✌️

  9. For Dale – ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️
Thank you for your great informative content! I love how you don’t just suggest when to plant, but you include whether it’s inside or outside during germination! Thanks!

  10. Great video Anthony! I think i bought basil from the supermarket 8- 10 years ago? and i am still rotating it in the same pot on the windowsill! This is the first year i planted it outside though amongst the tomatoes, after the garlic came out and the front ones want to bolt, which was interesting.

We did have a whole tray of cabbages but all but 2 survived so re sowing 3 weeks later. How tall would you plant out kohlrabi? Do you get much slug/snail damage where you are? I usually wait until brussels sprouts are about 6"/15cm until i plant them out in spring?

P.s. Rutabaga is called swede in the UK. I am trying to grow it this year to make Branston Pickle. Not sure if you have it there but it's a famous root veg sandwich pickle that with have with cheese, notable also called a Ploughman's lunch. It's quite sweet and the sauce is also like what we call brown sauce, or Daddy's sauce. Take care.

  11. i live in a micro climate that has more extremes then the region I live in. The farm gets the worst of the heat in the summer and the worst of the cold in the winter.

  12. ❤ have you tried lettuce basil. It has bigger leaves and lighter taste when you run out of lettuce, and makes tasty lettuce or taco wraps. ❤❤❤ love the Dale. He must be a sweet boy to miss his momma!!!!

  13. Awwww…Poor Dale…I just got back from a 3 week trip and my dog, Mr. K was not happy at all. I feel for you D-Doggie.😢❤
