Fiddle Leaf Fig

Help! Advice on what to do next with Figgy?

Hi all….

Not proud of what I’m about to show you… but it’s my reality right now. Attached are pictures of my fiddle leaf fig.

Some needed backstory: I bought Figgy from Whole Foods 2 years ago.
He was an indoor then outdoor but burned so brought back inside but wasn’t thriving to now i leave him outside permanently….. i repotted him before i put him outside but he has grown SO MUCH that i know my next step is to replant him (you can see he has exposed roots already removed those weeds) but you can also see how dark and densely grown they are and how healthy he seems ever since bringing him outside! all that empty area below is obviously where his old leaves had fallen, although his leaves were pretty spread out before and never as condensed…

anyway, what do i do about this awkwardly skinny, tall yet bald tree??? should i be trimming it?? how do i stop it from growing so tall? how do i thicken the trunk???

What a beauty! Mine never thrived this much. I would trim all yellow leaves at bottom and some at top. ……..wait just saw pics 2 and 3. Junk the tree now and buy a new one. I just did.
