Good morning, Kaye! Your Cranberry Hibiscus is absolutely beautiful! I'm sure it would not hold up here in west central Ohio. My frost date is October 8, and my Roselle Hibiscus is still growing. I'm beginning to think I should have started it even earlier. I may try to get a cutting or 2 off of it. I have a feeling it won't bloom until later. I'm going to have an absolute forest in my house, with lemon, orange, fig, and Hibiscus! By the way, the three cuttings that came from IV Organics have grown very well, and 2 of them are producing figs! I'm so happy!
Thank you,Kaye.I really love that plant.I too am in zone 7b, so maybe I will get it as a house plant.
My cranberry hibiscus looks exactly like yours! I had to pull the 35-gallon pot out of my flower bed this week because it was smothering everything else. My roselle is more upright & a brighter red. Neither has bloomed yet here in Oklahoma. I planted them from seeds in the spring. I definitely will grow them again next year! I don't heat my greenhouse, but I will take the roselle in & see if it will make it. My chickens destroyed my anise hyssop this summer! It smelled so wonderful! I will plant that again next year, too! Thanks for a great video! God Bless
Looks like a maroon marijuana plant.
I will definitely grow this next season. Thanks for sharing the information.
What a gorgeous & useful plant!!! I’m going to try to grow this next year! I’m in zone 8a if I’m able to get it to go to seed I’ll send you some! Our fall frost date usually ranges from end of October-first week of November.

Good Morning Kaye – Your cranberry hibiscus is beautiful and I wish I had space to grow one. Thanks for covering your experiences with this plant and its many uses. Once I get more space, it will be at the top of my list to start along with Annie's Hyssop. Have a blessed weekend and prayers to your mom..
Kaye here is something to buy you lunch the next time you visit your mother.🙏prayers for her peace.
