  1. I have 2 Serrano plants and 1 jalapeño plant that are on their 3rd season. Planted in Spring of 2022 when I moved into our new home.😊

  2. I have a question about brassicas. I plan on starting seeds indoors this weekend, I know they are cold weather crops, but what about the seeds, do they need heat or cold to germinate? I use my indoor sunroom to start my seeds, but that room stays pretty warm in the hot months, sometimes around 80. I’m wondering if that’s too hot for brassica and lettuce seeds? It’s been fine for my warm weather seeds, but not sure how it will be for cold weather seeds and starts. I’m in Pinellas county 10b.

  3. I'm growing a lettuce GreenStalk this year! I also made a pepper one that I'm going to roll into my carport when we get our couple of frosts this winter.

  4. My corn is having aome issues, is it ok to tray some back ups right now incase they don't do well. They have little worms in the center any tips on dealing with them.

  5. If there’s one herb that I absolutely despise, it’s cilantro 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤢🤢🤢

  6. Excellent video! Love the comprehensive treatment of cultivars ideal for fall, especially ones that aren't the usual boring list that most other content creators drop every fall. Off to check out your seed shop!

  7. Excellent video. The heat was too extreme for me to grow during the summer. The peppers didn’t do so well. I trimmed them down and hoping they will regrow during the cooler months. I am in zone 9 (Sanford).

  8. Gainesville, FL zone 9a here. We’re just on the cusp of zone 9b (We’re 30 minutes North of Ocala. I wonder how the frost dates work. On the plant maps website, it says that we get our average first frost date on November 21-30. Now, we may have a cold night or two here and there there, but we hardly don’t see freezing or below until February and ending by March 1-10. So honestly have been able to get away with growing bananas and peppers outside with minimal protection over these last few winters.

  9. Thank you so much for the great information. I have a petition, could you please talk a little more about direct sowing? I barely have time to week, feed, trim, mulch, and water my plants. In addition to working 10-12 hours days and some weekends. 😬

  10. Thank you for the wonderful, informative video. I'm also in zone 10a. When can we start melons? Do you typically direct sow or transplant?

  11. Wow! You are brilliant! You have inspired us…….we are starting our veggie garden up here in zone 9b, Ocala. Will be following you.🌱🌺🌼

  12. I have also read that we are harming the monarch butterfly by purchasing milkweed plants vs. growing them from seed. They say that the things they are sprayed with at the nurseries ends up messing with the mature butterflies’ homing abilities. Do you know anything about that? I feel so bad if this is true because I and my neighbor have usually planted milkweed plants in our pollinator gardens. I am so thankful for your channel. Keep up the good work for us Florida gardeners.

  13. Thanks for this video. I’ve been watching your site to see if you’ll get the blue butterfly pea flower back in stock ?
Also could the shampoo ginger be planted in a grow bag ? Also thinking of getting one of those. Thank you.

  14. Beit Alpha Cucumbers were incredible in Louisiana this year. I`ve harvested from the same plants since May. I use cuttings of cherry tomatoes in fall and often use lights to boost them. I had cherry tomatoes until after Christmas in zone 8b then kept cuttings of this tough plant alive to plant back outside in spring this year.

The native bees are loving my basil blooms. I was watering it with a hose nozzle that needs to be replaced with water spraying everywhere and the bees were too busy to notice.

I planted 6 more fig trees (4 Celeste) this year and 4 dwarf mulberry. I just got my first ripe fig…from a cutting this year from the Brown Turkey tree I planted last year. The cutting is already a large bush 7 feet wide and another is in a pot in case of extreme cold.

  15. I planted tomato seeds July 1st but I think they got too hot in my green house and I stunted their growth. They look nothing like your transplants. 😢
