Plant Propagation

Very new to propagating! Indoor Hibiscus

Hey everyone! As the title says, I’m very new to propagating plants, in water specifically. I’ve only managed to propagate a Tradescantia, but jury is still out on its success since I transferred it to soil 2 days ago.

Anyhow, I have this indoor hibiscus plant that has been sitting in water for the last month or so and it has this like green stuff stuck to the stems and I’m not sure how to proceed with propagating it. The leaves are looking really healthy but I’m a bit out of my depths and I’m looking for advice!

How do I handle green stem stuff? And also how long will propagation for an indoor hibiscus take?
