Should I try to separately propagate this little leaf or just bury it?

I received a Pink Princess cutting from a friend that I’ve had in water for a few weeks. The roots are coming in, and I noticed at the bottom a new leaf is forming. Before I plant it in soil, should I chop from this leaf to try to make a new propagation or just bury the leaf in the soil?
