Do your plants with a ton of pups struggle to stay hydrated?
I water these guys once a week with 20-20-20 fertilizer. They’re in 5 gal cloth pots and the they side that gets hit by the Arizona sun has seemed very sunken in recently now that these pups have exploded in size

You should water every 4 to 5 days in fabric pots during the peak growing season. Otherwise your soil will become hydrophobic and it will be hard to actually get water to the entire soil ball because it runs out of the side of the fabric pot.
