So, my young avo seems desperate to be a little different to the norm. It's got this pretty severe lean to it after 12 months in the ground, and only one branch down low. Also, the branch is growing in the same direction as the lean.
Any thoughts? I'm concerned about its stability in future. I'm wondering if staking it upright for 12 months might help straighten it up, but also wondering if we should prune back heavily, around 15cm up from the branch.
It's had shade cloth around the trunk this last year. I just took it off today to get the photo, and will put it back tomorrow with a ring of pavers to hold back the grass
