I have two (what I believe to be) white spruces at the front of my house. We haven’t been here that long and one of the previous owners put them in, in probably the 90s. The back half of the are pretty bare and I hate the look. They only get a tiny bit of morning sun that is mostly blocked by two large Bradford pear trees. Can I trim these down and try and let them start over or is there something better to replace them with that doesn’t require much sun?
