Let this one get out of hand

Hello everyone, first time posting here. This is a cedar elm yamadori I collected, and have been training for the past few years here in North Texas. l've let it grow unchecked and it became a little lanky. So I finally pulled it out and gave it a trim in order to encourage back budding for future ramification. Here's a before and after. l'm also manually pulling the lower branch down because I think it would look a little better in that position. Any input/suggestions would be great!

Amazing what a simple trim job will do. It looks like an entirely different tree now and ready for a show.
