My monstera is getting too tall and I'm planning on chopping the top to root and repot back into the pot. Ive propped other monsteras that had smaller aerial nubs I just potted into perlite mix and it was fine. My question is: should I cut the aerial root so I can put it into perlite to form other roots, or would it be easier/ best for the prop to just let the cut callous over and then just pop it into the soil and let it do it's thing? I appreciate any and all help anyone can give!
