The 2024 Lawn of the Year contest is here! You have until September 30th to submit your lawn for consideration.
[Make your submissions on the stickied post, here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/lawncare/s/sz6a1U6lhP) As long as you’re proud of it, its worth a shot!

This is my biggest fear! Any time I go over a thicker spot and hear that sound, I think “whelp, my shins could take a blow, might need to get used to no feet…” I’m glad no one got hurt!

    Don’t under-tighten either..Use a torque wrench

  4. Is a lawnmower designed to contain the blade if this happens?

This is why you mow with high cut steel toe boots.

Everyone knows you tighten till it starts to give a little and back off a quarter turn

Is this why there’s only one leg in the pic?

Only 3 ugga duggas needed. No more no less.

Well at least you still have that left leg/foot.
