Plant Propagation

First time attempting water propping and need advice, please.

I put these leaves (and more) in jars of water about two weeks ago. They are developing roots nicely, some even have secondary roots. I was wondering, when I plant these props, do I just put the new little leaves under soil as well? That just doesn't seem right. 🥹 Some of the new leaves are tall enough to stay above the soil but how do I plant the ones with leaves near the roots? Thank you for any and all advice!

You’re doing great! I place those new leaves under the soil, and I bury about 1/3 of the length of the petiole (the skinny part connecting the stem to the leaf blade). I’ve never had an issue.

Not sure what the other props look like, but I’d definitely keep them in a bit longer. Be sure to change the water every week or so, too. I’ve had much more success giving them more time propping in water at this stage.
