2 year old transplants

I have two trees transplanted into my yard. Both are sunset red maple and I live in the PNW.

Two questions:

1. I have some splitting in one of my trees, not sure how long it’s been there. Was planning on using standard bark wrap during the winter this season and maybe the next few to protect it from frost damage. Is this the only thing you would do?

2. Another tree has a major lean after the first few feet. Anything I should do this fall/winter to help correct is or is it fine the way it is.
