Hello! I've had this elm yamadori for the past few years, but I've never been able to decipher what species of elm it is. It's not a cedar elm, because the leaves are too big and the wrong shape. I don't think it's an American elm, but I could be wrong. Any advice would be great!

Siberian elm maybe. The smooth light grey bark is pretty specific to that species in terms of wild American elms (it’s not an American species, it’s invasive)
