I just noticed today that our tree looks like there is no bark on it. Not sure what kind it is or if it looked like this before, but I don’t think it looked like this previously, but I just noticed it today.
Your tree is a lovely baldcypress, Taxodium distichum, closely related to redwood. Trees have to shed bark to be able to grow, and we are seeing normal bark shedding in your tree. Enjoy it!
