  1. Eisenhower was the Interstate Act. I agree that it was really post WWII for the expansion of lawns.

  2. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make the show when it was live. I just finished watching. Dr. Shaddox, I really needed this show. After having a bad day at work, I laughed and laughed watching this. 🤣 I’m not a betting man, but if I was, I’d bet this person doesn’t bathe using soap, uses laundry detergent or uses toilet paper. I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

  3. I have a nice lawn but I also have a Wildflower area that the bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and hummingbird moths love. I get compliments on both from neighbors.
I don’t like all the chemicals I have to use to keep weeds out. I kinda see her point on that but she exaggerates.
If you let a lawn go it isn’t just native plants that take over.
I don’t normally water my lawn but this year there has been no significant rain since June 5, it is September 11 and still no rain in the forecast. I have never seen a summer this dry in my lifetime.
All those insects she is talking about come to my house to get a drink because I am the only one in my area that waters the lawn. Other people in my area are complaining about being harassed by bugs (because they are looking for any source of moisture they can find). I don’t have that problem since I am irrigating.
