  1. You are going to be busy loved your idea of making an adult version of the dress your Grandmother knitted for you as a child Will look forward to the videos you post on this channel Can't wait for Mac to model his new Autumn jumper collection Thank-you did enjoy watching this even though I don't knit anymore was never that great a knitter to be honest but appreciate watching talented knitters like yourself 😊

  2. You are so inspiring to me! Thank you for all the different pattern ideas. You definitely expose me to patterns I wouldn’t find on my own. I especially loved the idea of recreating the dress your grandmother made. I look forward to watching your progress on all these projects!

  3. It sounds like you are going to be very busy doing all of these projects. It is so nice to see little Mac 💕 💗 💓 sharing the video with you. I'm glad you found a lovely apartment for the 3 of you. I always think your videos are interesting.

  4. I'm planning on knitting my first sweater & probably my first hat. I'll keep plugging away on my first knitted blanket too. I've only been knitting for about a year & still tend to drift towards my crochet projects, so it's been a slow process to learn to knit. Looking forward to making more progress!

  5. Thank you so much for sharing your projects and enthusiasm/passion for knitting!…
Question: Do you have a recommendation for a book or video for a complete beginner to start knitting?

  6. I absolutely can't wait to see the Ginny dress! So great to hear how she taught and inspired you! I love the info about the socks. I love history related stuff. I didn't know there was a textile museum in DC. I have to put that on my list of places in DC that I want to go to now. I'm also very excited to see your milage blanket! Great use of that data! I often think about doing a temperature blanket but I'm not that into the weather to look that up or record it every day. Maybe I can find something else to inspire me to do something similar!

I'm currently working on a sleeved scarf, a hooded scarf, and a home decor decoration for my arch in between my living rooms that will look like wisteria. That's the fall plan so far. I'm sure I will find other things along the way!

  7. I found your reminiscences of your grandmother so moving, and I'm sure your grandmother would be thrilled to know about the dress you're making in her name. Your enthusiasm for knitting has had its own impact on me, so your grandmother has inadvertently had quite an influence on a lot of people!
I'm not an accomplished knitter but do love it when I actually get to it. I'm from Melbourne, Australia, so it's spring projects I'm thinking about – most likely some cushion covers for my mother and a market bag for my sister. I'm also keen to try knitting the jovial collar for my nephew's girlfriend – they live in Japan, so it would be a great Christmas present!
The Egyptian socks are wild! Can't wait to read more about the history.
Great video, and love of course to Mac! 🙂

  8. I loved watching your fall plans: so refreshing! I have yet to make an actual "to be knit" list for myself but you inspired me so much!

  9. Hi Taryn, you are certainly going to be very busy. Your planned knits look lovely. I have watched you knit both on this channel and of course, the most loveliest dachshund – I look forward to your videos. Although I did more knotting when my boys were very young, I am nowhere as experienced as you. I have never knitted on circular needles before, but have watched one of your tutorials. I promised myself I would find a simple top pattern to try.
I do look forward to seeing your completed garments. Bye Taryn, Bye Mac.
    Take care!

  10. I LOVE the idea of the Ginny dress. You are so lucky to have had a grandma teach you how to knit and help shape your life. ❤❤❤ I hope one of my future grandkids will feel that way about me.
