Another great salvia for attracting pollinators is the Proven Winners Playin' the Blues salvia.
@6:16, the Maianthemum racemosum looks more like Disporopsis sp.?

This is the time of year to start finding deals on plants as things get clearanced to make way for mums and pumpkins. Our problem here is we've had an inch and a half of rain in the past month so even with irrigation the things I've picked up are suffering. Looks like Francine will finally bring us a little rain.
Good morning Jim and Stephanie. I too live on a .192 acre lot here in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast. We had to divide our backyard because my daughter has 3 huge dogs while I have 3 small dogs under 20#. Plus they love tearing up everything including shrubs/plants. I had 2 Texas Purple Sage Shrubs when we 1st moved in and 1 pulled them out by the roots and also nailed my Camillia Japonica, which I actually moved and saved although I can't hardly believe how great it looks now, almost 2 years later. (They were among many plants we moved with us to this home) Thank you for another great garden tour. I just LOVE your lush and beautiful garden 😍

Thank you Jim tor introducing me to tractor seat plant! Aka Farfugium japonicum. They perform super well here in central FL. Not only are they lush looking but they’re evergreen here and bloom profusely. For me I know it feels like “fall” here when they bloom.
Could always do a root barrier to keep the saliva in a small circle. If you want it enough but not coming up everywhere
In the summer, do you ever feel like the garden holds on to humidity as a posed to having a full-on lawn?
