What’s happening to my jade?

I bought this jade two years ago and up until a couple of weeks ago, she was healthy. I repotted to a bigger pot and better soil for succulents and the leaves started to fall like clockwork.

I know that it’s normal for some leaves to fall after repotting but the whole plant seems to not be adjusting well. I circled the plant in pic 3 to show what the before was. Before the leaves fall they have this black and wrinkling edge. Anyone have an inkling?

I water when the leaves feel less plump (the soil is typically dry at this point) and have repotted in a more aerated soil suitable for succs. She gets a good amount of southern facing light

A common problem with cacti and succulents is etiolation. This is when a succulent stretches or becomes leggy. Reply with “!etiolation” for advice.

Jade like a snug pot. They have thick leaves that store water and dont need to be watered often. Unless it was more roots than soil, it didn’t need a bigger pot. If the pot leaves more than an inch or 2 of empty space around the root ball, that’s just excess soil holding moisture the plants roots can’t use in time. Resulting in an overwatered plant. If you don’t want to repot again, your best bet is giving it more light, and hopefully, that helps it use the excess water it’s holding. A jade really should have a front row sun spot anyway. They love light, they can take all the sun (once acclimated, of course)
