We have a very open walkway up to our house and we planted some Wisteria to give us some privacy. I know we want to keep it away from the house a bit so it doesn’t have direct contact, but we want to have a natural archway leading up to the house. My idea is to use some cheap stakes and pool noodles and let it vine around them for a couple years, then cut out the stakes and noodles for a totally natural arch.
Are there any flaws in my plan? Will the wisteria be able to support itself after a couple years?
I am okay with it looking totally ridiculous for a couple years.
