Are these healthy roots?

I got this discounted Snow White waffle plant at Lowe’s. It was just watered and seemed pretty soaked. Wanted to see if the roots were rotting. They aren’t squishy and no decaying smell. But they’re very thin and frail. Is this normal? Any tips? I plan to put it in new soil. And would like to have it in my windowless office with grow lights for indirect bright light. Thank you!

I’m not familiar with this plants root system, but they appear healthy at first glance. So far as no rotting and whatnot go. I’d repot in a good, well draining soil and give it time to beef up the root system. I repotted my very neglected marble queen pothos earlier this year, and her roots looked similar. She’s absolutely thriving now and going insane growth-wise, but I don’t know what her current root system looks like. Overall, this plant appears to be healthy to me!
